The Leprieur's Glory is a butterfly of two faces: a topside of deep, dazzling blue that is breathtaking in flight, and an underside of metallic sage green scattered with black spots and a flash of red at the body so vivid it looks like a heartbeat. Charles Darwin himself considered this one of the most beautiful butterflies in the world. Philomena is inclined to agree.
